Like Magic is a South African marketplace for home services, now in Durban and surrounds. We connect you with vetted, insured, independent pros, and make every step clear: the price, the arrival, the payment and the work.
What we do
Finding someone reliable to fix things at home usually means phoning around, waiting in all day and hoping the price holds. We built Like Magic to change that.
You choose the job in the app and see a fixed price, or get quotes. A vetted pro comes to you, and you can follow them on the map. You pay in the app, get a job report with photos, and rate the work. If something isn't right, your pro fixes their own workmanship, and we help you follow it up. See the workmanship terms.
Who does the work
The services on Like Magic are provided by independent service providers: plumbers and other trades who run their own businesses. They are not Like Magic employees. Each one is responsible for their own work and must carry their own insurance. Before any of them can take a job, we check their ID, criminal record, references and, where the law requires it, their trade registration.
Like Magic runs the marketplace: bookings, payments, tracking, job reports, ratings and support.

Like Magic Home Services is a service of Pro Media Mogul (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2014/188632/07), a Durban company at 108 Workington Road, Greenwood Park, Durban, 4051. Pro Media Mogul (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for your personal information and the company behind the platform; the pros who do the work are independent businesses.
